Celebrate Beauty was created back in 2005 by a team of women eager to share the truth of what scripture teaches about women to women. We know from Genesis, that early on as God was creating the world and then man and woman, that He liked what He had made. In fact, He said "It was good."
Have you ever made something and said, "That's good!"?
What a sense of satisfaction; isn't there such pleasure and pride in that which you have just completed? It doesn't take much to wonder if God might have felt that very same way about each of us. The author of all things, the perfect and Holy God gave His stamp of approval upon each of us. Nothing needed to be altererd--nothing added, nothing subtracted. We just were and that was good enough.
Scripture continues to speak of the value of women as it displays stories such as those of Ruth, Deborah, Mary and Martha, and Esther. Not only are some of these women depicted as lovely in form and feature, but many of the stories in which they star remind readers of their hearts for God that so clearly show what beautiful character they had.
The vision behind Celebrate Beauty, the original event as well as this website, is intentional time, space, and energy given over to pickeling oneself in these Biblical values. We yearn for women of all ages to grasp hold of what it means to enjoy being a woman by embracing one's God given feminitiy. We also hope that as women hear this message of truth, that they are valuable and worthy just as they are, that this will create deep rooted change in their hearts, minds, and lives, ultimately not only creating change on a holistic level for the individual, but also impacting one's surrounding relationships, community, and thus, the world at large.
May He be glorified through all of who we are and what we do.
